The tasty products of the area make your stay even better.  Excellent olive oil, wine, pulses (lentils from Eglouvi are a must), famous Lefkada salami, fish roe, pies, fruit, honey, almonds, mandolato & pasteli (types of sweet with sesame, honey and nuts), mint and rose liqueurs, soumada (local drink from bitter almonds) are all produced in Lefkada.

Try local dishes such as bourdeto (fish cooked in a sauce), oven-cooked eel, cured cod, squid cooked in its ink, fish pie, frigadeli, fish savoro, octopus, sofigado (meat with quince and petimezi) and accompany them with local wines (white Vardea and red Vertzami).
